Private Yoga Sessions: Live Stream or In-Person*, indoors or outdoors:

55 minutes sessions will be customized to your interests and goals. Yoga classes may be on pranayama (yogic breathing techniques), meditation, and posture practice or a combination of all 3. Posture practice can be Restorative Yoga, Slow Flow Yoga, Flow Yoga, Power Yoga, Yoga Philosophy and or Yoga Nidra. Please email Jo to schedule a consultation and/or appointment.

Personal Coaching with Bob Speck

Bob has been helping people grow and realize their full potential for over 40 years. Using a down-to-earth practical style of communication and a wisdom that comes with many experiences (and age), Bob has recently been offering one-on-one personal coaching to a limited number of Heart of the Village Studio members. Seeing the unique potential in each student, Bob’s work is student-driven to empower and inspire each student to realize their goals in life! Whether a student's intentions are to find peace of mind or enduring happiness, to increase strength or flexibility, or to build personal power or resilience, Bob helps guide and support each student along their way.

Heart of the Village Yoga Teaching - If your goals are to develop yoga practices which are relevant to you and your current life situation, Bob will help you develop your practice. Bob can draw upon his expertise in Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Restorative Yin Yoga, Aerial “Anti-Gravity” Yoga, Adaptive and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Yoga Nidra, or Bhakti Yoga. Lessons often begin with breathing exercises and mindfulness-based practices to focus attention on what’s important in the here and now, and evolve to physical practices which are designed for each student’s unique body.

Bringing Heart to Life Coaching - If your goals are to reduce stress and struggles and find a more lasting happiness and peace of mind, Bob will draw upon various teachings from ancient Eastern and Indigenous cultures in ways that will help bring these teachings to life. Often times, our struggles in life can be shifted by how we see things - our perspective or point of view. Bob will guide you through a Four Perspective approach to help you find your way and stay on course.

Functional Strength Training - If your goals are to have specialized training programs designed for your body, Bob will utilize his background in personal training, functional strength training, pain-free performance, and sports coaching to develop exercises just for you. Whether your intentions are to be more lean, to move with more ease, to be stronger, or to perform better, Bob will coach you through body-weight and functional-strength-building routines, weight-training methods, and day-to-day training programs, all of which are designed to progress over time.

The Grateful Warrior Free

Power it up to slow it down. An energetic first-half to empower you through the day... and a calming second-half to settle into a day of gratitude. Yang and Yin... effort and effortlessness... all in one class!! We’ll start with power flow postures and transition to grounding Yin postures. A balanced way to start your day!! Full Moon Yoga Practice Free

We'll set intentions, warm up on the floor and move into a lovely moon salutation. Class will culminate with Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation that will deeply invoke and realize your intention/prayer. Thanksgiving Slow Flow Yoga Free

Class will open and close with restorative and yin poses, and flow through seated and standing poses in the middle of the class. The slow pace of this class allows for emphasis on correct alignment and maintaining balanced even breathing. This style builds strength, stability and postural integrity. Gentle Restorative Yoga classes are a great place to take it slow, and still experience all the benefits of yoga. Classes focus on releasing tension, connecting with the breath and helping students gain strength and flexibility. It is a lovely way to release and relax.

In this class gentle Hatha yoga poses are practiced along with restorative poses. In Restorative Yoga, props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body, so your muscles can relax deeply. Restorative poses are done on the floor and held for 3-5 minutes. Props used are bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop students in the Restorative passive poses. All welcome. No experience necessary.

Restorative Yin Yoga uses gentle long held postures practiced with an attitude of compassionate acceptance to awaken the more Yin parts of our physical, emotional and spiritual selves. Yin Yoga is grounding, healing, peaceful and leaves the practitioner feeling rested and filled with peace and love. The practitioner may opt to make the practice as restorative as they like, choosing to use props such as bolsters and blocks, adding support to one's body during each pose. Poetry will be read during the class. A video of this class will be available for viewing for 1 day after class.

Flow through powerful posture sequences while focusing on alignment and mindfulness. Classes focus on heart opening poses, hip opening poses, twists, inversions and overall increased flexibility balance, strength, and compassion. This practice is especially appropriate for athletes and those wishing to increase fitness levels. Classes enhance conditioning, improve cardiovascular health, and may even reduce the likelihood of injury. Some yoga experience is recommended, as we will explore some challenging poses, however variations will be offered for the less experienced. It is helpful to practice in a warm space , so you can break a sweat. Come hydrated! A video of this class will be available for viewing for 1 day after class.

We will perform a dynamic series of core-strengthening and standing postures designed specifically to improve core power and function, and to give an invigorating core workout, while providing ample time to cool-down and stretch out with a series of slow-flowing yoga postures. Friday: 4:30-5:30PM

This class has similarities to a traditional on-the-mat power flow yoga class, except swings are used to provide support and allow further exploration of traditional yoga poses, in addition to strength-building exercises. Suspended swings and accompanying straps are used to provide support for traditional postures, most often with feet on-the-ground, as well as to provide support for inversions, full-body stretches, and partially- or fully- suspended bodyweight exercises. A video of this class will be available for viewing for 1 day after class. This class is intended for experienced participants who have practiced power aerial yoga before, preferably at HOTV Yoga, and have their own safely-supported aerial equipment. Participants agree to support swings no higher than hip height from a structurally-sound support, and use at their own risk. The surface below the swing should be level and have adequate traction for standing postures, and cleanliness for lying-down postures. Hand weights such as kettlebells or dumbbells may be used as an option for experienced practitioners.

Intended for yoga students who may be new to functional strength training, but formatted in a way to allow individual growth through progressive resistance and modifications, we invite you to give these classes a try. They will still be mindfulness- and breath- focused... enhancing a sense of personal presence and power. And, the will provide opportunities for strengthening in ways not emphasized in typical power yoga classes.

Although we will do our best to lead the class in such a manner that no home weight equipment is required, we recommend that you have at home the following: 1/4” and 1/2” 40-inch loop exercise bands and 9-inch loop lightweight mini-bands; suspension training device; appropriate-for-you weight kettlebells.
