Have you been encouraged to meditate by a doctor, a friend or something you read, heard or saw in the news? Do you find meditating challenging? Join us Saturday mornings to breathe, chant, meditate and learn yoga philosophy and together we will break down the barriers. You will be inspired to include meditation in your daily activities. A few minutes every day is like a vacation. You will find yourself refreshed, inspired and relaxed.
Pranayama is focused breathing. We often hold our breath and don't even realize it. We will practice breathing techniques to calm our mind, relax our body and open our heart.
Chanting - singing - is proven to be good for us! It also calms and focuses our mind. Doesn't matter if you can hold a tune and it is not religious.
Yoga Philosophy reminds us to live fully in the present moment. It teaches us to pay attention to what is true and to let go of what no longer serves us.
The emotional and physical benefits of meditation, chanting and focused breathing can include:
